Located in the heart of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - one of the country's most vibrant academic hubs - is De Fer Coffee & Tea at CMU, a haven for coffee connoisseurs, tea enthusiasts, and lovers of good food. Nestled within the tranquil environment of Hunt Library, we are delighted to serve our exquisite range of beverages and culinary delights Monday through Saturday, from morning until evening, while school is in session.

Featuring a seasonally rotating food menu, there’s bound to be something for you matter what you’re feeling. Cookies, muffins, scones, sandwiches, chia pudding, and more - made in house at our Troy Hill location.

Drip coffee, nitro cold brew, espresso and milk beverages, loose leaf tea, house-made simple syrups and a rotating pour-over menu, expertly made just how you like ‘em. Our drink offerings also include seasonal twists on a variety of your favorite bevs.
Please note: Cold brew and shrubs are not available at this location.

Fresh roasted coffee available from our roastery in the Strip District, perfect for when you grab a cup of coffee and need to bring a bag of the beans home! Take ‘em whole bean, or have them ground for you before you leave.
