Qantu Chocolate

Direct trade, heirloom, small batch chocolate from Montreal–made by  Elfi and Maxime, who scour Peru seeking heirloom cocoa beans with exceptional flavors. In their workshops, they transform the beans into a pure bliss that will never fail to surprise your palate.

We describe Qantu as straightforward in style, complex in flavor, KICK ASS chocolate.

Current varieties are:

Morropon (70%): Simply incredible flavor. Think of cherries and prunes (though there is no flavoring actually IN this chocolate). We heard the owner of the company describe this as the “little black dress” of chocolate, and we’d have to agree.

Bagua (70%): Slightly less fruit-forward in its tasting notes, perhaps more traditional in flavor than Morropon, but just as good.
