Pu'er Tea

Gu Hua Sheng
Pu’er

A very remarkable tea, this tea was foraged and produced by the Dongsa Cooperative—a group established to be a steward to the oldest tea forest in the world. Tea leaves are hand picked from trees that are 100-300 years old and are sun-dried without any additional heat or machine processing. Sheng (aka pu’er) is a very unique style of tea—the natural fermentation creating bold, intense, complex flavors not found in more traditional types of tea. Often pu’er is aged, allowing the natural fermentation process to continue, changing the character of the tea indefinitely.
