This coffee, from the legendary Ethiopian region of Guji, is grown by many small farmers who bring their ripe coffee cherries to a shared washing station
and mill. In fact, most Ethiopian coffee is grown this way, where an average Ethiopian coffee farmer may only farm about two and a half acres of land. This coffee comes from a mill owned by Israel Degfa, which supports 2,500 small farmers, along with 16 full time and 350 part time employees. This coffee is roasted very lightly for optimal clarity, brightness and flavor - and still delivers a very clean, rich chocolate finish.
