Carmo De Minas Icon

Caixeta

This coffee is deep, rich and chocolaty as you’d expect
from a naturally processed Brazilian—but with a very clean, ripe-fruit kind of sweetness. Nothing earthy going on here, it’s all chocolate and fruit, perhaps with a dash of walnut. Lower acid than most of our other coffees, this is an easy, all-day drinker.

Medium roast for nice body and a lingering finish–it’s plenty mellow enough to drink on it’s own, but it can take a dash of cream too. Just the thing to warm you up as the weather cools down.

MORE ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Though it may be small by Brazilian standards, Antônio Marcos do Carmo's 108 acres turn out a great deal of great coffee (~1500 bags). Antonio is a third generation farmer, having moved to Cerrado Mineiro in 2003 to continue his pursuit of high and higher quality coffees. Ripe harvesting and clean production are key in his process. Quality at this scale creates an impressive coffee at an extremely affordable price.
